Debbie Odenyi, Girl Rising’s Kenya Program Manager, was honored with a ReimaginED award from our partner Metis Collective. The ReimaginED awards are given to acknowledge the remarkable efforts of highly collaborative leaders, who have played an important role in community collaboration for advancing education rights in Kenya.
As the Kenya Program Manager Debbie oversees the implementation of the Girl Rising Global Education Fund in Kenya, our six-year venture philanthropy fund (2019-2024) through which we support local leaders who have innovative, culturally relevant ideas on how to advance gender equity and education quality. “I am proud to congratulate Debbie on receiving this well-deserved award for her outstanding commitment to advancing educational rights in Kenya,” said Girl Rising CEO Christina Lowery. “This recognition is a testament to her unwavering efforts and the impact she continues to make on the educational landscape in Kenya.
