Dr. Natasha Stevens
Dr. Natasha Stevens was a fierce champion for girls’ education and a beloved member of the Girl Rising community. She was an inaugural Girl Rising ambassador, organized events in her community and worked tirelessly to support our mission. Natasha tragically passed away in 2022. Through the Natasha Stevens Legacy Fund, Natasha’s passion lives on and will support the efforts of young advocates working to create a world where all girls can learn, rise and thrive.
THE NATASHA STEVENS LEGACY FUND
In honor of Dr. Natasha Stevens, each year Girl Rising will provide a stipend of $500 USD to a student and/or student group looking to raise awareness in their communities about the power of girls’ education. These event(s) or activities must be centered around Girl Rising and the global movement driving gender-equity. Applications for 2024 are now closed. The recipient will be announced on April 1.
