FOR YOU?
Join young storytellers from India, Kenya, Guatemala, Mexico, the US and around the world, and explore the many ways your story could travel further than you imagined.
Global amplification for your story
Top 50 stories will be considered for inclusion in our Girl Rising Story Annual, a digital compendium of stories spotlighted and across our social media channels.
A chance to be featured in a short film
Upto 15 participants will have the opportunity to develop their story more deeply and be considered for inclusion in a documentary film produced by Yoruba Saxon, the production company founded by actor, director and producer David Oyelowo.
Join the first cohort of Girl Rising’s Story Lab
Upto 15 participants will be selected for our inaugural 2027 Story Lab, a three-month virtual programme to hone their storytelling skills and connect with mentors from the media and technology industries. Technology resources will be provided, as needed, to support participation.
TELL IT
YOUR WAY.
AI, technology, climate change, uncertainty, a quickly changing world. Here’s the question: what future do YOU want? What are you building? What does it mean to you and your community to thrive?
We want to hear from you!
AI & ORIGINAL SUBMISSIONS. We encourage original thoughts, ideas, and stories in a format of your choice. The use of AI under the AI category must be assistive only. Please be transparent about any AI tools used to create your submission to adhere to the challenge guidelines.
