Chapters bring the mission of Girl Rising to communities with a focus on local needs and priorities.
Strengthening Local Leadership
2,500 girls are leading 120 chapters in 21 countries across North America, East Africa, South Asia, and Europe — a global network first built by She’s the First and now growing as part of Girl Rising.
Girl-Led
Our chapters are founded and led by girls in their schools or communities; they act as safe spaces for girls to explore feminism and other progressive ideas for the first time.
Hands-on Support
Chapters receive training, access to 1:1 mentorship and support, and opportunities for grant funding.
Local Impact

Chapters engage in direct and indirect service, discussion groups, government advocacy, demonstrations, and peer mentorship.
